The Birdrock Story

Creating gorgeous wheel-thrown pottery is my absolute passion. I love that my ceramics are enjoyed as part of everyday living and bring joy to others.

My earliest memories are of digging clay out of the side of a hill on our family farm. I collected the clay (and a good dose of grass, dirt and stones) and made all sorts of pottery creations.

Today my medium is a little more refined, but no less enjoyable! Walking into an evening pottery class in 2017 believing I was taking up a hobby, fast turned into something more. Taking the plunge to turn a creative passion into a business, is an opportunity to share what I love with friends, family and those lovers of ceramics I am yet to meet.

Today I work out of my home studio situated outside of Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula, the traditional lands of the Boon Wurrung/Bunurong people. I continue to draw inspiration from the beauty I experience daily in this part of the world. It is a privilege to share what I love with you.
